Create Your Own Facebook Direct Profile URL
The Profile Web Address application (it’s actual application name is unnecessarily long) lets you create a direct link to your profile, with any name you choose. This application comes from the same people that created the “Surveys, Petitions, Votes, Polls & Quizes” Facebook app.
Just like with MySpace (
), you can now pick a URL suffix to create a somewhat shortened, easy-to-remember web address that can be sent out to friends or placed on websites, taking them directly to your Facebook () profile. The URL you’ll be able to use will look like any of these three options:

www.profile.to/AnyNameYouChoose
http://apps.facebook.com/profiles/AnyNameYouChoose/
Of course, the regular privacy settings apply. So a user will need to be logged in in order to access your profile page using any of these links.
Username selection is now live at http://www.facebook.com/username/. Remember, choosing a username is optional and will give you a distinct Web address for your profile. It will not change the name that appears on your profile, in search or elsewhere on the site.
